As we get closer to Departure date I want to know if most everyone has to pass through Knoxville to get to Pigeon Forge? As it's stands now the West Meets East Caravan will merge with the Texas Caravan at Nashville and travel as one into Knoxville. If the Northeast Caravan is using I-81 then they will also hit Knoxville. The corvettes out of the Michigan area will all enter Knoxville, the only Corvettes not going into Knoxville will be maybe NC, FL? If this is true then I want to see a 5 mile string of C3VR Corvettes not as seperate Caravans but as a C3VR Gathering hit Pigeon Forge all at one time..Is this possible? Do we have to have a permit? Are there laws? Has this been done before? Adam..Camera Action....What do ya'll think?? spielman538826.4608796296

Theres no way you'd need a permit, unless you want Police Escort or something

That would be awesome but make sure we all get there at 3pm.   This photo shot would be out of this world.

Hey Spielman5, the FL caravan turns off I75 and kinda by passes Knoxville, but we can always meet you all in Knoxville, just give me a landmark and an estimated time of arrival, and it will be Friday?? and we can caravan in with you all....I have a few people lQQking at my route to give me comments, so probably we would be there before you, but wouldn't it be nice to video the caravan coming through Knoxville! It can be done let me know!

Anybody think of contacting Corvette Fever or one of the other big magazines to do an article on our arrival or or meeting.  How about one of the television stations to film the arrival.

I'd have to check a map again to be positive but I'm pretty sure PF is east of Knoxville by a little bit.  Folks coming in from the northeast on I-81 would have to pass by the PF exit to go to Knoxville, hook up with the western folks, and then go east again.  PF is a few miles southeast of the I-81 exit so you may want to just meet at that exit and parade into PF.

This all sounds great to me, but I plan to arrive in PF on Thursday night.  Aren't most people getting there on Thursday night?

Some of us will be arriving in PF on the evening of 6/22, so if you are going to be in Knoxville at 3 PM on Friday, 6/23, we can meet you there.

If someone from the area could recommend a meeting place, everyone who can make it could meet there for a caravan into PF.dwright38826.8490277778

I checked the map and Norsky is right, Easterners on I-81 hit I-40 and then turn on Hwy 66 (Winfield Dunn Parkway) to 441 to 321 and PF and will not go to Knoxville..So there is nothing wrong with a forward scouting party to arrive ahead of the main body. Adam, I think that most of us will hit PF in the evening of the 22nd, Thursday.. My guess would be between 6:00 AND 7:00 pm on the 22nd..West meets East will over night in Clarksville and take a breather from three long days of racing with the sun and Iron 82, then in the afternoon of the 22nd we will meet and join forces with Joel's caravan just out side Nashville from there to Knoxville it's 174 miles and then 35 miles to PF 8:00 PM on the outside..I'm I right Jim, Joel, Mike? Anybody, is this doable..Hey I'm just tossing this out..I sure would like to be a member of a Large Corvette Movement..Maybe I'm missing something? Let's work this out..Terry
