Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79

So, I need some suggestions for Friday day, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

We already had a suggestion for Tail of the Dragon (at Deals Gap) so no need to suggest it again.  I'm thinking we should have at least 2 events on each day running simultaniously so people have a choice of things to do... so the more suggestions, the better.

Also, if someone suggests something in this thread, there is no need to re-suggest it or say "yeah, I like that too".  Just a list of suggestions is what I'm looking for.

Thanks!!

Since we're going to have a bunch of vettes there, how about a display one afternoon to show off the cars?  Nothing fancy with judging, just let the locals and visitors see the cars.  (And us, I want to check out all of your cars too!!)  You know we're going to get a lot of attention while we're there.  Might as well show off a bit.

Maybe we could hook up with a place that has a large parking lot, such as a Wal-Mart, or maybe a local Chevrolet dealership, and just do a display?  Maybe showcase them at Dollywood?  I think I remember reading that we're going to have our own parking lot at the hotel.  Maybe we can work something out with them? There are a lot of options.

If you really wanted to get ambitious, we could do an article for the local paper, invite the local TV station and/or radio station, to get some publicity for the web site.  (A lot of local articles get picked up for nation redistribution or broadcast.)  We could even collect donations for a local charity.  Just thinking out of the box now.

At the very least, it would be a shame to drive all that way without taking the time to see all of the cars together.

Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks. #2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.

Good ideas, Bryan!

#1  YES!

#2  Not Wal*Mart    But a Chevy Dealer or Dollywood would be fantastic.  Maybe, Dolly will pose with all the C3's for a publicity photo with those bazooms.  Talk about drawing attention to C3's!!

#3  Donations are good, but what are we gonna' donate......JOEL??  I don't think we could make that much on him Bryan....

#4  Totally!!

Any Road Racing Tracks in the area for an AutoCross?

I know I'm not going but we did this with our Dodge Dakota Club and everyone really enjoyed it.  Just need a simple course (can be made with cones in a large parking lot) and a stop watch. Everyone runs through the course for time, best times win something, maybe C3VR shirts or something

We could all invade the car museum one afternoon. I think it will be pretty easy to identify a cool spot once we get to runnin the town.

Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition #3413

When we finish with the meetings Saturday.   There's some people that would (I hope) to go with my lady and I for about 5 hours to drive the Dragon.   I am in the mist of making an itinuary on this before we head out to the Dragon.    This will include two plans.   I should be done soon.

Sometime during the course of our duration in PF, we all need to go for an ice cream.
And it could be a Poker Run or Dice Run.
