Here are my travel plans for getting to "The Gathering" -
Saturday - May 12th - departure time not set yet but plan to head south from the Twin Cities on I-35 into Iowa to the Quad Cities then cross Illinois on I-74 to Crawfordsville, IN and spend the night.
Sunday - May 13th (Mother's Day) - be at the door of the Brickyard's Hall of Fame Museum when it opens @ 9 o'clock. Before getting back in the car I'll flip a coin to decide whether to go through Cincinnati, OH or Louisville, KY to Lexington, KY and on to Knoxville, TN and spend the night.
Monday - May 14th - ride "The Tail of the Dragon" (at least once) and then thread my way through the Smokey Mountains to my sister's home near Brevard, NC.
Wednesday - May 16th - head for Greenville, SC and have lunch with my eldest nephew before joining up with Clint and ??? for the run to Charleston.
Tuesday - May 15th - bumming around the booming metropolis of Brevard, NC
Anyone in the Indianapolis area available for breakfast or lunch?
It would be fun to meet up with anyone along the way so let me know if I'm passing by your place. And while driving a Corvette cross country is always fun running with another (or a bunch) is even more fun...!!!

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

We haven't decided yet if we're leaving Saturday or Sunday. If we're around Sunday, breakfast would be great in Indy.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

We'll be going from Nashville on Tuesday, the 15th, and running the Tail of the Dragon on the way to Asheville, NC. Hope to see some of you.

I think you should leave on Sunday and make Monday a "play day" on "the Dragon"...!!!

Dick, knowing you that means you'll be leaving REALLY, REALLY early on Wednesday and driving straight through...!!!
