PF Caravans - "Synch-Up" Location

I still think it's a good idea to meet at the Motel-6. It's pretty easy for folks coming from various directions to get together "before" the turnoff into Sevierville and PF. I'm suggesting 6PM or so on Thursday as a meeting time. We'll be there earlier, but I'll go and meet everyone there. We'll go check in at our hotel and then double back.

StingRayJim has suggested we meet at the Comfort Inn in Sevierville instead. Said they have a lot of parking - both at the hotel and the building they own next to it. He also mentioned a "local" C3VRer is trying to arrange press coverage - and maybe a police escort into PF. Wouldn't that be grand!!!! How about all of the "motorcade" co-ordinators making sure each other has phone #s for all of the other groups? This will at least allow some of the groups to converge at specific places/times, and then make an effort to have one central, final grouping before the last leg into PF. Some groups will be there pretty early Thurs., and some of us will be snailing our way in later in the day. If the general consenses is to meet up at the motel, then we should pick a specific time that the most cars would be there. The individual co-ordinators can communicate with each other, and inform all of where they are, at what time.
I'm hoping the Texas group will be at the I-40/Tenn 66 turn off between 5-6pm, Thurs. Some of the groups are gonna wanna get to the hotel asap, after driving a long distance; I know I will!!
If there is a fer-sure meet-up in that area, and it's not going to be a major hassle, let's do it!!!

The county may be dry, but the cities/towns are not.  Most all resturants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg serve alcohol.  However I can't say whether the hotel will have a bar.  Pretty easy to call and verify though.  I'm still trying to figure out whether my car will be ready and my work schedule will cooperate.  I may have to cancel out, which would really bum me out...

Most of all is the day light.   Need to have the light with us so we can all join in the motorcade while the video is rolling on us entering PF. 

We all need to be there by 5 to 6pm at the motel to have this to be awesome outcome.

I'll second that hotel asap thing....it's gonna be a long drive!!

I'm trying to keep the 2006 PF Caravan List updated for just that purpose.  Everyone please check it out and send me any corrections/updates.

got the trailor picking it up early wed am and leaving from there. loading c3 into trailor then others meet up and we are on our way.

I'm still in the mists of getting things finalized for the caravan to ride into PF.   This will be a blast!!
