Well as luck (bad) would have it. We will not be able to make it to the gathering... I have exhausted vacation time prior to this. Had to use the time for family emergencies.. Made 2 trips to Florida (2 weeks) due to wifes sister had a heart attack and then a stroke in ICU and put on life support. Husband removed life support.... We stayed as long as we could.... got back home and she passed 2 days later... hopped back on plane and went to the funeral. Then last week my Mom 89 yrs young fell and broke her hip... had surgery. Now I have to make a trip up to see her and help with getting her into a nursing home.... If that aint enough.. It all happened in the middle of me doing a major remodel of the kitchen and dining room (like no appliances, no sink , no countertops...etc.. etc... And did I mention this is the time of year we (real job) go on 6 ten hour days... The $$ are good but I'm getting too old for this. When it rains it pours naturally.
One bright spot tho.. Mama said we might be able to get to Corvette Carlisle for a weekend.. If I finish the remodel
Sad we will miss this one so close.... at least we did get to the PF gathering...
You'll have fun...!

Sorry to hear the news Ray, but the circumstances are well understood.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Ray,
Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. Had a similar situation with my wife's father in Florida about 10 years ago. She spend several weeks down there only to come home and have him die unexpectedly the next day. Back on the plane.
Hey, put that remodel on hold till January. I work cheap where it's warm in the winter.
Was looking forward to seeing your car with that big monster under the hood too.

I have some good news and some bad news.
Which do you want first?
Ok, the bad news is my wife and son will not be joining me. She's pulling the "I'm pregnant and tired" card.
The good news is, I'll be bringing my Vette!

I thought you said you had bad news?
OK, OK some one had to say it, I was just kidding, please don't send me hate mail

Adam things happen for a reason, better to play it safe as she is carrying your child then to have her system run down.
