Besides the obvious answer of speilman, who came from the furthest distance to attend the 2008 gathering?

It was close to 1300 miles for me to get there. Coming home we took a longer route.  I'm looking forward to getting there the same day at next years get-together.

Ben or John?

Was there anyone there farther away than New York/Joisey?

Should be able to figure the mileages from the "Who's coming" list.

MapQuest said door to door for me was 865 miles.  Their drive time was 13.5 hours - it was actually closer to 17 hours each way (just an easy afternoon jaunt for Elba & Terry LOL ).

I think the Okies should get extra mileage credit for the crappy roads we have to drive to get out of this state!

Back before 73 of our 77 county commissioners went to jail for fraud and tax evasion back in the '80s, we had GREAT roads.  Now, the suk.  We still get the same $$$ based on then year escalated to current year, but you couldn't tell it.

The wear and tear alone should be worth something!Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

I wasn't there but if you just consider the distance where Terry and Elba actually drove, Tacoma, WA to Hot Springs, AR that would be 2275 miles Clap  darn you two are dedicated Thumbs%20Up

I took the long way both going and returning, but it was a pleasure to ride in the caravan. Always nice to have company.
Looking forward to next year.
