Great to hear that everyone seems to be interested in the LeMay museum.  I've been there once, but definitely looking forward to seeing it again and seeing what's new.  Just so everyone knows, I don't think we'll need to do pre-purchased tickets for this event like we need to do for the Boeing tour.  We should be able to just show up and buy tickets when we want to go, which is still planned for Friday.  What I am trying to do, however, is get a $3/person reduction since we're going to the cruise-in the night before.  (They give a reduction if you go to the museum the night of the cruise-in, but not sure they will go for it for the next day.  I've asked, but they haven't given us an answer yet. )  This brings up a question I have: is there interest in seeing the museum while we're there Thursday night for the cruise-in, versus the next day?   They're open till eight that night.  LeMay is the main thing we have planned for Friday, so if we went the day before it would make that day pretty open, possibly for some of the other things folks want to do.  Just looking for opinions now.....

Folks just an update on the LeMay Museum part of our gathering.   Below is an exchange between me and our contact at the museum.  No need to read through it all, the main thing is it sounds like there is some pretty decent BBQ food available at the event and John and I wanted to make sure you all are OK with that serving as our dinner for Thursday night.  Let us know, publicly or privately, if there are any concerns or comments.  Also, still not sure if we will want to tour the museum that night or the next day.   Perhaps we will just play it by ear -- she does confirm below that we will get the discount for participating in the cruise-in either way.  Getting close - I've got some detailing to do on the car in the next few weeks and a P/S hose to replace!

Just checking in with you on the 7/14 cruise-in.  C3VR is still in and we're excited to be able to participate.  We're still not sure if we will want to combine our tour of the museum with the cruise-in or if we will come back to the museum on Friday, 7/15.  We may have to just play it by ear if that's OK.  Just a couple of follow-up questions for you. If you decide to visit the Museum on Friday, rather than Thursday, I can still offer your club members the group discounted rate of $12/each on admission.

- want to make sure it will be OK if not all of our members arrive right at the start of the cruise-in.  I will make an effort to get there as close to three as I can, but we will be coming from Everett that day and you never know about traffic.  And some of our members may wish to arrive a bit later than that.  All OK? Of course! I have an estimate from you of 16 cars, so that’s what we’ll plan for when we are marking off an area for you on the field. If that number changes substantially, just let me know. Also, technically the Cruise-In doesn’t start until 5pmanyway. We open the field and have volunteers available to help park at 3pm because some people like to arrive early and visit the Museum before the Cruise-In starts.

- What are the specifics of the BBQ dinner at the cruise-in?  Typical fare for summer BBQ?  A la carte pricing I would assume?  Picnic tables for eating?   Any info you can provide would be helpful as participating in the cruise-in and using that as our main dinner that night is a little out of the norm for our club.  Want to be able to give our members some info about what to expect.  The BBQ is provided by Gravediggers BBQ. They have a websits: www.gravediggers.com so you can get an idea of what they serve. Typically, they serve tri-tip, ribs, pulled pork and philly cheesesteaks. Their prices start at @ $10. They also have drinks and side dishes.

I love a BBQ. And a cruise-in.
I would tour the museum that evening and do something additional on Friday.
I MAY go visit a friend in Seattle sometime. Not definite yet.
