Just wandering if everyone knows that you can not put gas into your own car in OR. An attendent at the gas station has to fuel your car. So let him know to drain the gas in the nosel out before getting it close to your filler neck. I don't like gas running down the side of my car, do you?

Well, it's great to see all of you so excited about the various meets. I'm still about 1 or 2 weeks away from getting in the '81 and toolin' round town! Maybe I'll see you folks at next years meet.

As Chuck said in Oregon, you cannot take the nozzle & hose off the pump & fill your Vette. BUT I have found that gas station attendants are very leary of spilling gas on the Vettes or scratching the paint. So don't be surprised if they ask you to put the nozzle in yourself. If not, tell them you would like to. I have never been told no. I always grab a few paper towels to put under the nozzle to catch the drips.
SEE Y'ALL REAL SOON!!!

Steve we did that but says it will only get us a annual pass for $80.
We just want the $10 pass for the day.
Did we miss something?

John, not sure about that web link.
I think, just pay the fee to enter crater lake for the day pass.
As far as letting the attendant fill your Vette, I always ask the attendent if I can fill my own car. There is an un-written law, that you need to ask 1st. They will most likely comply, since they are going gaga over your Vette

Steve is correct on both counts. (don't get too big of a head)!
I checked with the Forest Service today. The $10.00 pass is a day use pass that you would buy at the entrance. They do have discounts for over 62 yrs & for the disabled, (disabled Veterans too). I was told you can take a letter, (standard form), from your local VA office, to the Forest Service in your area. They should give you the form right there. Give the local U.S. Forest Service Office a call. Hope that helps,

Mike
