Dave & Dave: Hope the rest of your trip back east went smoothly.  Thanks again for letting me know you were in Dayton, heading home from the Gathering.  Dinner at Quaker Steak was great, seeing 3 '82's in a parking lot in Fairborn, Ohio was something I never expected to see!  Hope the bedbugs weren't too bad at the flop house, and that the Air Force Museum was a hit.  Look forward to Ft. Wayne!!

Hi Bob,
You were the perfect host.
Dinner was fantastic.
It was good to see you again and talk Corvettes.
The motel was fine. I found the bike trail near there and went for a walk in the morning.
The Museum was awesome. Spent the whole day there.
Thanks again for a great time.

Vette(s): Gone, but not forgotten: 1974 Coupe Red, matching numbers, Black Interior, L-48 w/ 4 speed; The “Admiral”, also gone and never to be forgotten. 1994 Admiral Blue LT-1 coupe, Black Interior Automatic

So Dave....

This tells me 3 things:

1. You didn't drive at night.

2. You didn't use your turn signals.

3. You never used your brakes.

How else could you drive that far without getting stopped for no tail lights.

It was great to me you at the gathering and I want to thank you for the goodie bag and the gathering poster. It will be framed and hung behind the bar in the basement.

Wally,

1. I tried to avoid driving at night. A couple of times it was dusk and I drove past an officer. I was sweating it.

2. The front turn signals worked. Does that count? I thought about using hand signals, but that would probably confuse everyone.

3. I downshifted once, coming down the mountain curves. Glad no one tailgated me.

I was lucky.

The picture was fun to put together. I got to know people before I met them.

Hey Guys, I'm still not home, I'm in Columbus, Ohio visting my new Grandaughter, born 4/22. This is great.
I also want to thank everyone who worked on this gathering, it was the best! Dave W. and I had a great ride from HS to Ohio.
Thanks to Bob, we had a great dinner at the Quater Steak & Lube and at the Air Force Museum. Car has been running great. The only bad thing that happened was that I deleted all my pictures from the trip by mistake, man did that piss me off!
Sounds like everyone had a great time, I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thanks again Joel, you the man!
Dave
