Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

Pulled "The Toy" (on a trailer) with "The SilverBuckboard":

2,111.5 miles using 175.4 gallons (87 octane) at a total cost of $483.00.  So that works out to be an average of 12.0 MPG at an average cost per gallon of $2.75.

Had I driven "The Toy" I would have used fewer gallons but most likely would have spent more on the higher grade octane fuel.

"The Toys"...!!!  Save the Wave!

My fuel expenses were a bit lower by driving the C5. Totals: 1343 miles, 57 gallons (93 octane), cost $168.00, MPG ranged from 21.5 to 25.1. Had I driven the 1970 LT-1 Shark, the $$ would have about doubled with the MPG would have been about half. Even trailering the Shark, with my new 2007 F-250 Diesel (on order),would have been about the same as driving it.

Had a great time though. And I'll "go west young man" next year - whereever we end up.

Bills are piled up somewhere on the desk....lots going on right now so I am in the camp with those who came for the fun of it.  I suspect I am close to IRON82's number.....you know the saying....cost of Gas $xxx, cost of Food $xxx, cost of Hotel $xxx, cost of New Friends -- PRICELESS....
