I emailed Bair's about a targa top for my 92. This is a perfect time to replace it as i will be right there the freight to ship it to mistatim sask would cost an arm and a leg as well i would be out the core charge cause it would cost me too much to ship it in for the credit. So this is what i wanted to do while we were there i wanted them to install a new roof, how long can it take it should need few adjustments i would think. They are not willing to do that cause they don't want to take away from the group tour, I can understand that. Sooooo if i get the roof would the gatherers be able to help me make it fit cause i would have to leave the old one there, how close is this place would it be easier to drive back there, I'm coming in earlier wednesday with vette country if its close maybe i could set up an appointment. I need help because i have no idea where this place is. If necessary it would be cheaper to stay another night and book in early Monday than do it later. Pitch in guys give me suggestions because i have to email Bairs to get this exchange done.
For those of you wondering why the new top, its because the old one is delaminating so having it painted is a waste of time because it will just bubble up again

I'm coming thru Canada on Wednesday so I'm of no use but if there is beer involved I'll bet the line in the parking lot is long to help!

BEER?!! I've got a nail gun and some glue! Other than that I am no help in this area, so I guess I am no help. I'm sure we can work something out!

No worries. Between the whole gang coming we can get this task accomplished. In the meantime I will try to find a quick and dirty way of getting your top on.

While I'm not going to the Gathering, I can't see any possible problems with removing your existing top and simply bolting a new one on....as long as the one they're selling you is the correct year. Shouldn't be any more involved than it is with your current top.....10 minutes MAX.

Here is a tid bit of info on C4 targa tops.
If we get lucky we can just bolt it in place as Joel mentioned. If not we have instructions to fine tune it.

Cindy - in his post Dick mentioned driving about 6 hours on Tuesday - which would put you somewhere on the west side of Cleveland (near Elyria, OH for example).
From there to Bair's is about 2 hours (depending on route and traffic).
From Bair's to the host hotel in the Buffalo area is a little over 2 hours (again depending on route and traffic).
If you made an appointment at Bair's for early Wednesday afternoon I think you would be able to get the top installed by them and still make it Buffalo in time for "Happy Hour".
Anything is possible...!!!
