Where is this Exit 3A you speak of? What highway?
My current route takes me west in PA to harriburg, make a left, then head through VA to TN.  So, DE is not on the way.  But if I go south first, instead of west first, I could go through DE.

Adam... when we briefly chatted about this I thought you were coming down I-95 from Philly. Exit 3A is on I-95 just south of where the NJ Tunpike ends into I-95.

Sounds like your plans put you on I-81 southbound at Harrisburg.

My route takes me down I-95 to DC and then I-66 to I-81.

Would you like to try and meet on I-81 somewhere. It should be near lunch time. Maybe grab a quick bite to eat and head on our way. Pick an exit, maybe pick a hotel or something to meet at or near.

As an idea cause it was easy for me to find, I-81 Harrisonburg, VA, exit 247 there is a Hampton Inn. My planner says I will be there 12:30ish.

Another option is we wing it and see if we get near each other as the day progresses.

Yes, I can be there at 9:00.

The Christiana Mall is off I-95 exit 4. 1 mile further south is Exit 3 (and 3A). 1/2 mile further south is the service plaza I mentioned. The service plaza is in between the southbound and northbound sides. Easy on / easy off.

I can meet you where-ever you are comfortable and 9:00 is a good time.

Ok.  Now that I fully understand where the rest stop is, I can meet you there.  I will be fighting Philly traffic, so if I leave my house 7:30, I should be there in plenty of time for a 9am meeting.
L82vette77 also expressed an interest in meeting up with me.  I sent him an email asking if he can be in Christiana at 9am.  So hopefully we'll all be able to hook up there.

So, let count on that, then.  9am at the rest stop between exit 3 and exit 4 on 95.  I figure we'll roll into PF around 7pm.

Sounds like a plan.

Not to split hairs but just to clarify, the rest area is 1/2 mile south of Exit 3.

Heading south on I-95 when you bear left to pull into the plaza go past the first gas station and we'll park in the first parking lot on the left (actually, they are all on the left). It is very easy to see once you get there. I've met many a Vette there over the years.
