Thursday - July 15th
Cascades Scenic Highway Drive  Lots & lots of High Desert lakes and scenery 
with stop at Mt Bachelor. Ride the lift chair, 7700' up.  WOW!!  A KODAK MOMENT!!! ($13.00), to the Pine Mountain Lodge for lunch.  Take in the sights of Three Sisters peaks, Broken Top and the Cascade Lakes.  Behold views of over one million acres of pristine undeveloped land.  At this time of year, the mountain exposes ancient lava flows, wildflowers and year-round snowfields.  A-la-cart lunch, burgers, brats, pizza, salad, soup or vegetarian, $10.00-15.00
After lunch at Mt Bachelor, continue the drive.  Depending on the sight seeing, the drive could be 4-5+ hours with the lunch break.

That is a beautiful drive, been on it a few times. Been on the section between Sunriver and Mt Bachelor during the winter may times to go skiing. No matter what time of year its great!
