Caravans headin' for the 2007 CC MG

Hey Gang -

I will be coming from Upstate NY and would be interested in joining a caravan that would travel at least some miles on US66.
Right now my plans include visiting my sister in CA after the Gathering, before heading back East.dwright2006-11-15 17:30:52

Let me do some Rt 66 research tonite and maybe we can come up with something for all of us East Coasters to gather up on...

   Would love to get together and "run the roads" in a group. Have traveled Rt66 (orginal) three times in my life and would like to do some of it again. First time traveled it in 53 God was a long time ago? Second time I was discharged from Army in Oklahoma in 67, last time was honeymoon in 69. Would like to relive some of those memories and do it in a Vette.

Marion shoot me a PM sometime and we can talk about the Indy to Carson drive. I live 50 miles from Indy (Greensburg, In) and may be interested in the drive. Haven't decided yet for sure what we would drive or if we will fly (still up in the air...)

                I plan on leaving Indy at 7am on Sunday June 17, the route that I plan to take is as follows: I-70 to st Louis 44 out of St Louis to Okl City and 40 to Carson City. I plan to drive about 8 hours a day, that should put me in Carson City early wednesday afternoon. If this sounds good to anybody coming from the east let me know and we can get together on the time the closer we get to June. Correction I leave 40 and pick up 395 to Carson City.

We will consider that. I know that we have talked about going through this area. I would like to stop by OKC and eat at Cattlemans Steakhouse and possible spend some time in Bricktown. (This may be on the return trip)
Just in looking at Mapquest the chosen route for shortest distance is: I-74 to I-80 to US-395. That is not to say we want to drive that way. Jury is out yet until we get closer to the actual date.

Myself, DWrite, & JimG will most likely be goig out I80. We would meet up in Ohio. Details not worked out yet, but maybe we can meet up with you guys if you are going out I80 also. I think alot of guys will be going out I80. We will see as time gets shorter.
