Well, I now have time to tell you that we couldn't make the trip out west.       Can into two major problems.    When I woke up ready to leave Tuesday.  I found my lady in the bathroom sick.  We thought it was a 24 hour flu thing.  So we waited and then she got more sick that night.  Took her to the doctors and he said she got a stomack flu.  Out for the weekend to come back for check-up on Monday.   So we are waiting...    I told Terry (Speilman5) and he is Ok with our planned detour.      We still miss the real plan.  But as everyone said to me...  S*it happens...

Second was when coming back from the doctors, I went to unpack half the vette and saw alot of oil on the ground.    I check the oil stick and found no oil guide on stick.  So called the shop to tow and found that the oil pan gasket had cracked.   So we exchanged it the next day and back running.   Jim (StingrayJim) called and said the oil filter or the oil pan screw might of been loose.    Not sure what really happened but oh well...

So vette is fixed and ready but my lady is still not good to move.   She can talk though.

Why Me???      I'll coupe and wait until Monday to see where we go from there.

Terry and Glen,   Safe driving and see you gals and guys in PF.

The cab has been called to take my wife and I to the airport for a night flight to Seattle, the Shark is awaiting  in Tacoma for it's   master.   She will get checked out and fueled in the morning.  I think my wife has to much stuff and it will not all fit, errr...in the car, errr...The car cover stays the dancing shoes go!! Her heavy coat goes my wrench set stays..errr...With the West Meets East Motorcade down to several cars and they will not hook up until later in the week, closer to PF, I'm looking at fuel and miles savings. I can save many miles by taking the most upper interstate across the upper Midwest and then heading south from the upper Midwest? Today's weather in that area showed Thunder stormsThunderstorms, what do I do if I hit HAIL? Pull over and put the car cover on and wait it out? I hear some get the size of soft balls? What does that do to Fiberglass? I will watch the weather and use a combination of several interstates, I will follow the sun!!  See ya all on Thursday at the junction..TerryThunder

[QUOTE=TUXBLACRAY]Mel,

Believe me they know!!! I get her back tomorrow!  I need door handles, mine were rusted from the inside out, they could have told me a month ago!!  I ordered from Ecklers tonight, will be here Monday!!  I'm cutting it close!!  My son is comming up from Alabama for the weekend to help me get her back together.

 Now I can't put in the new glass or the door panels until Monday or Tuesday....

They have a few minor things left to put together, I will bring her home tomorrow!!   Then the work begins!!  Some of you are getting on the road and I don't even have seats bolted in yet!!

Here she is in the paint booth on Wed.

Mel
