I'm driving from Grand Rapids Michigan - want to hook up with any C3's for a caravan south - are there any plans for a meeting spot?

Ken,

Are you still planning on leaving Thursday evening?  In looking back through the thread it seemed like there was a group gathering in, or near, Toledo either Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.

My plans are still in limbo so I can't commit to going yet.

My wife and I won't be able to commit to a time until probally the week prior to the gathering. I have been traveling alot lately.
At present our plans still evolve around leaving Thursday. Departure time is yet up in the air.
It would be great if those that will be traveling on I75 would speak up so that we can begin to form a traveling group.

Ok, time to get serious now.

Who will be able to meet in the Toledo, OH area Wednesday night, June 21st or early Thursday morning, June 22nd?

What would be the preferred route?  I-75 south thru Lima, Oh/Dayton, OH/Cincinnati, OH/Lexington. KY/Knoxsville, TN and then I-40 to the PF exit.

Anyone else coming out of Illinois or Indiana able to arrive in PF on Thursday afternoon/evening?

Would love to caravan down to PF but have only been to local shows and such.  Any stories out there good or bad, about long distance runs with your c3's?

I have been thinking about the same thing - I put about 200 miles on my vette yesterday and it was a long 200 miles - the thought of doing this whole thing to PF in one day out of Michigan is a little scary.  Ken

Well, We will be traveling from east to west coast and then to PF.   The distance I have will be estimated between 6300 to 7000 miles.   That's with and/or without a Bowling Green,Ky. trek after PF.

I'll tell all about the trek west when I get online in Portland.   We can feel our butts hurt already.

So far the best I can tell you is the Great Pumpkin and I r meeting at 6 o'clock on the morning of the 22nd and heading out down 75 south from there. Anybody staying in or around Toledo the night of the 21st is welcome to join us. If you're planning on staying the night in Toledo the 21st, you can get in touch with me and we can meet for dinner or something. I live only about 4 -5 miles from 475/23 Airport Highway exit. There r alot of good food and hotels at that exit. If I can help out, please let me know. Keep in mind that there is construction along 23 both ways from I96 to Milan and further construction from Monroe St exit (Sylvania) to Central Ave exit, one lane both directions and a real hazzard during rush hour. If you would like a detour around that area - I will be glad to give you one.

Good driving

Jim
