Vette(s): 1982 Black, ZZ4, Hooker Side Pipes, 3.55 Rear, Rebuilt & upgraded 700R4, All new suspension, brakes, & new Charcoal interior.

We will be leaving NW Jersey about 9am on Monday 5/14/12. Meet up times for people along the way will be worked out when we know who will be joining us.

This will be mostly NON Interstate highways, and a non-rush type drive. We plan on getting to hotels mid-afternoon so we can relax, maybe see the sights a little.

We should be in Charleston by early afternoon on Wednesday 5/16/12.

Each person or couple will need to call and make their own reservations at the hotels.

Let me know where and when you would like to meet up with us and we will work out a schedule to suit.

Monday night, may 14th,  will be at the

Rodeway Inn (used to be Quality Inn)

6273 Maddox Blvd.

Chincoteague, VA 23336

757-336-6565

Rodeway Inn….. http://www.chincoteaguequality.com/

Call them, don’t do it on line, tell them you’re with the “Mooney” group so they will keep us together if they can. I asked for 1st floor (parking outside door) so tell them that.

The rate I got for 2 double beds is $74.49 + 10% tax with a AAA discount, they have others also but I think he will give us all the same rate. (2 queen beds is about $5 more). They have a 48 hrs. cancellation policy.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Tuesday night, May 15th, will be at the:

Island Inn

202 Goldsboro Ave.

Surf City, NC 28445

910-328-2341  tell Barbara that you are with the Corvette group.

One queen bed is $69 + tax = $77.97, 2 queen beds is $85 + tax.

If anyone wants to forward this to someone that wants to join us, feel free to do so.

Call me or e-mail me with questions and also to let me know if you’re in, include your cell phone number.

Thanks,

Dave M.

e-mail me for details on the route, dave1963@optonline.net

Sounds great, Dave! Jackie and I are going to meet up with the group at the hotel in Chincoteague. It seems like a natural route for us. Just wait for us for dinner! Can't wait 'til May!

Hey, Dave, are we coming back the same way?? Should we make return reservations or are we gonna wing it?

I won't be going home after the gathering, going to Atlanta to visit friends and then to Nashville, then to Bowling Green, then to Ohio, then back to Jersey. We'll be gone 2 weeks. So you guys are on your own going home.

Barry, We will be coming back on Sunday morning directly after breakfast. We can run together if ya want, but probably not the same route. A little quicker on return, maybe just one nite on the road. We have to be back on Monday. I have UPDATE Training to keep my certification in that week.   M-n-S

That sounds fine, Mark. If you want to we can just take off and see how far we get before we stop for the night. I'm sure most of the places Sunday night won't be over booked!

The Sharkette and I were just going to "WING IT" anyway, and see how far we get and how we feel. The weather will play an important part as well.
Clint, we are in the very North East of the state. Bout 4 hrs from the border, depending on where you enter it.
