Better Late Than Never - 2011 Gathering Poster
Forum: Vette Registry Annual Member Gathering
Back before the 2008 Gathering in
I really liked his idea so I stole imitated it. However, I wasn't confident that I could get pictures of everyone before the gathering, so I took pictures of (almost) everyone at the gathering. A few people weren’t members (at least at the time), at least one couple got away without me getting a name, and one or two had to send me pictures taken somewhere other than the gathering.
It's taken me a while to put all of them together and tag them all, but that task is now done. I created the poster at a size of 16x20" in Microsoft Publisher. That file is over 250 meg (that’s pretty big for a file). I had that file compressed in a pdf (this is a format almost anyone should be able to open) at only 1.2 meg that retains the original resolution (if you're interested in the Publisher format file, send me a PM and I’m sure we can work something out).
I had a few copies printed up (I used Fed Ex Office/Kinko’s) and I framed one for myself with a $15 frame from Target) and it looks really nice.
C3VR’s file share only allows pictures, so I’ve had to save the pdf file on my Google site I created for the car. Please excuse the site as I haven’t maintained it much after setting it up last winter.
Follow this link.
I hope everyone is able to access this and enjoy it. If you have any problems with the file, please let me know.
I still have the 2008 gathering poster framed in my garage and now I have the 2011 one as well. They’re great to remember good times and friends new and old
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
