Frank & I arrived home about two hours ago. He has to be at work tomorrow, so we decided to see how far we'd get & made it straight through. Hope everyone makes it home without any issues! Had a great time!! Thanks again Clint for all your efforts!

that was a long haul for both of you (of course a normal car would take a lot longer than Sarges' GTO). we are very lucky because we were home in 4 hours. Of course, I had to add two more quarts of oil again. As SOON as my mechanic opens up, I wll be calling him. Sarge, I know you do a lot of your work, I sure wished that you lived closer, I am glad that you both arrived home safely and in ond looooong day.
Peace out,
David

I too drove straight through - about 12 hours. Just stopped once for gas, and once to switch cars. Traffic on 95 from just south of Richmond, VA all the way to the PA border SUCKED!

Here is a trip summary for all my driving (both cars) from the time I left my house till the time I got home.

Adam,
Obvisouly that max speed was a mis-print....right? I would need an additional read out to go with the fuel cost....the OIL useage!!!!!!!!!
Both my wife and I enjoyed meeting the "Grand Poo-Bah" of C3VR! And I don't care what it said on the rest room wall about you, WE liked you!

Arrived home at 2:16 p.m. today and just finished reading my email.
No problems, no tickets, very little construction delays. Some rain this morning from Manassas, VA to the MD border.
When the traffic on I95 slowed to a craw lyesterday, I got off and took US1 north. At least I was moving.
Great gathering again. THANKS Clint for all the time, phone calls, emails, T-shirts and travel.
Thanks Adam for all that you contributed.
Great to see all the OLD faces and some new ones too.
Can't wait for next year.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Although a valiant effort was made to get 'er done in one day, Candi and I safely arrived home today about the same time as Mr. Wright. A slight mechanical issue (https://www.c3vr.com/vrforums/message420986&Jump=1.html) couldn't even slow us down, but a nine mile backup along I-75 in Tennesee did. It started about 1/2 mile past exit 134. We took a crossover on the interstate (Candi told me the car was authorized, as the sign required). The GPS tooks us down a curvy 2-lane blacktop as a detour (I think I heard banjos...) and about six miles along it, that road was blocked.
Our next detour was not signed well and we ended up a good 40 miles out of our way. Oh well, at least we were moving.
We called ahead and ended up stopping for the night at the hotel we stayed at our first night of this trip. Clean, convenient and cheap. Slept in this morning and had an almost rain free remainder of the trip. Even ran into another C3VR member (well, ran into is a strong phrase, but anyway...)
Another great trip! Thanks to Clint for all his work, and to everyone else for being there and adding to the fun!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I guess timing is everything. We hit the one lane stretch of 75N about 11:45 AM. There was only about a one mile back-up at that point. We were back up to speed in about 11 minutes.
