2016 Gathering Location Suggestions

Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
The number one question I always get at each Gathering is "Where's the next one?"
Other than saying "Western region" I had no answer. So, based on the Gathering Map we need to find a city that will make for a good Gathering location in the West, that we have not yet used for a past Gathering.
I will kick off the recommendations with the following:
- Phoenix, AZ
- Albuquerque/Santa Fe, NM
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Seattle, WA
If you have other suggestions, please reply to this message to suggest them. Please do not suggest one that I listed above, or repeat suggestions that others add. (We'll handle that in voting later). Just looking for a distinct list of ideas.
After 7/31, I'll use this list to create a survey so we can vote on the location.

I will add that we talked about locations for next years gathering(and the Western gathering after that, more on that later) during this yrs. Keep in mind when suggesting a local what the weather will be like during the gathering. I'd love to have folks come to my new state of AZ but if it's in Phoenix a great time to would be during the early spring/late fall, too hot during the summer. Unfortunately, some of our members might be dealing with snow.
As for the Western gathering in 2019. My daughter will have been(future perfect tense!) in HI for 4 years. I'm sure she'd love to organize an event in Hawaii. We could all rent scooters!
That being said, How about somewhere like Wyoming or Idaho. We could hit Yellowstone and drive Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier NP. Some might even be persuaded to take a longer vacation in order to spend more time in the parks.

Check this out: https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/private-events/overview located about an hour west of Vegas. Condos for rent at the track https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/the-facility/condos prices are not bad.

Durango CO, Taos NM, Tetons along with Yellowstone
Word of caution -- the West is big and much miles between cities so cars have to be in top shape and ready to roll.

Kansas City:
GM Fairfax Malibu/LaCrosse plant tour on Thursdays.
Harley plant to tour on the north end of KC
Kansas Speedway
Barbecue
Ford has a plant there too if your not assembled out.
History all over the place.
