2010 will be in the West Region.

I'm thinking about San Francisco CA, San Diego, CA or Colorado Springs, CO.

Check out this map.

Also, probably will be held during July or August.

Thoughts?

Oh Censored...let the floodgate spring open!

I'd be more likely to come if it was in Colorado, myself, but I'm thinking others might like it a little more to the West.

Vette(s): 1973 coupe. LS4, M-21, DARK SADDLE LEATHER, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, A/C, AM/FM STEREO, YELLOW ( 952 ).

How about Park City, Utah. Great cruisin through the high Uintah mountains. Some peaks are at 17,000 plus feet. Twisty roads. About a hundred mile loop from Park City through the mountains into Wyoming and back to Park City. Plenty of Motels for reasonable rates in the summer.

Well I'd say not central or northern California since thats bascially the same region as Carson City was.  I'd also like to throw in my .02 cents for the Great Northwest.  No cities are even considered in the NW doh What's up with dat?  Tacoma, WA or Portland, OR has a lot to offer.  And, don't forget America's Car Museum is the largest privately owned car collection in the world.  But seriously I'd like to see something in the NW considered.

I agree with Mark. Oregon or Washington would be good. Think twice about San Francisco. I spent 27 years in the Bay Area I will NEVER take my vette there. Getting around SF is a NIGHTMARE.

I agree with Joel, I'm sure I would be there if it was in Colorado Springs.  I've been there to visit my best friend and its really beautiful with lots of mountain roads to explore.  But, I know there's a lot of others that would want it farther west.  I've been to San Francisco and Southern California and the traffic is murder.  Don't know about Utah, but hear its really nice.  Just mho.

To really enjoy the upper midwest you have to be here in February...!!!  And since the 2011 gathering will be in the Middle Region the timing would be PERFECT...!!!  Wink  LOL  Rolling On The Floor Laughing

But back to 2010 - Colorado would also be our choice.  Going to Colorado Springs for a wedding in mid-July so will get a read on the weather.  Was there many years ago and it is a beautiful area with lots of interesting things to do.  (If memory serves the CAC group had their annual gathering there in 2007.)

Visited San Diego several years ago and while it is also a beautiful area with lots of interesting things to see the traffic there is a nightmare...!!!  Too many people going to too many places at the same time.

My only visit to the Bay area was a business trip and didn't even get into the city while I was there (flew in on Wednesday afternoon and flew out on Friday morning).  Traffic was also a nightmare  - and that was almost 20 years ago...!!!

Yup! Couldn't see how we could caravan in metro Ca. But, Wash, Ore, Utah or Col. all have potential. Great scenery, some open spaces. This will be interesting. I'd love to make it.
