You know - I'll bet that the event could even be held at the NASCAR Track in KCK. A lot of events use the facilities I believe. We even had an opportunity to drive around the track at one event before I moved up north.

Adam - what do you think of that idea???

Soooooo.......when does the voting start?

Just teasing!!      I know it will come soon enough.

In studying the map, I'm thinking that Kansas City looks pretty good to me right now. I pulled up the city info, and there appears to be a lot to do there, museums, baseball, pretty good downtown for shopping and exploring. Someone mentioned that they have a new track there too.

I'm just looking at a place that's in the center, accessable from all parts of the country, and that has some cool things to do. Kansas City seems to fit the bill. (Not to mention the BBQ!!!)

They also have 2 Corvette Clubs, Corvette Club of Kansas City, and Kansas City Corvette Association. We might be able to get with either of them for some sort of event during the gathering, to show and compare cars. Kansas City also has a NCRS chapter, but the web site doesn't appear to have been updated in some time. At any rate, the city and area seem to love Corvettes.

Just my 2 cents.       Bry585012007-09-05 14:35:07

So far, I think Branson, MO has had the most people talking about it. Don't mean that's where the Gathering will be, but it seems that it will be in that "general" area of the country. Still plenty of time for other suggestions, and discussions...

A lot of great ideas with activities and many things to do. The only thing I prefer is a place to stay that is not the center of attention. Road ralling to an activity is fun and entertaining. Staying out in the boonies is fun and entertaining. We have a chance to just sit and ratchet gaw between activities. We had some great times sitting out in front of the hotel and I think we were entertaining to the people that came and went. Join in or not it was up the the individual. Very relaxing. So if we stay a little way from town - so what. Kinda like sittin around the old camp fire. That's my 1.5 cents-I can't afford 2 cents.
