I like the idea of placing the country into three grids and alternate the years.  We need something central or west this time.  Anything over 300 miles I'm putting mine on the trailer.  It's not enclosed, but I've hauled the Vette on it to Redding, CA before, so Reno, or Northern CA works for me.  Wife hates Vegas, so I know I won't be attending it there.  Colorado is nice, but a little too far for me.

The three areas is a decent idea.  But why rotate?  Why not do all three at the same time and connect at a conference call so all are in the meeting together.  This may be a bit difficult, but it could be a good thing.  Then each group could has fun together after/before the meeting.

After reading the latest round of coments about our meetings, the regional aspect has a lot of merit. If we divided the country into regions, such as each time zone would be a region and had a director in each zone, it may help to spread out the responsibilities more and help Adam to continue with admin. duties. A lot of things could be handle at the regional level and brought to Adam as 4 sources of information instead of 200 or 300. Once the decision was made it could then be brought to the body. It doesn't really present a problem because any one could attend any regional get together they wanted to, but would eliminate the long distance travel if they chose that avenue. Conference calls are easy to do and most hotels or meeting places could set them up.    Just a thought. Appreciate you all listening.   PSS Toledo, Ohio gets my vote  78SEvette

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.

I like the idea of regional meets and the conference call is a great idea Ken.  The moderators for thier respected region could be the front person (by not means the only voice ) for that region.

It would then enlist a poll for each region to decide on a centrally located place to hold the event.

Then a core group would need to be volunteered  to act as a steering committee for that region to set up hotels, rates, activities, and to communicate with the regional moderators who in turn would then coordinate with adam, who would coordanate all the regions into one big national meeting.

sounds easy on paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May I sugguest that when we vote that we have two votes, first we vote to see if we have it on the West, Middle, or East coast, it runs from the Canadain border in the north and to the Mexican border, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Florida Key in the south, the west runs from the Pacfic to the Utah Arizona border including parts of Wyoming and Montana, the middle runs from Utah to the Mississippi, the East runs from the Mississippi River to the Atlantic, then after we decide what part of the country its going to be, then we vote on a cool place in that part of the country to have the meet, what do you think? Also after the first vote is taken if some of us decide not to go because of the distance we should still all try to vote on the final meet selection,   anips38682.9190277778

I'm for a simultanious East verses West meet  I think the idea of having two meets going at the same time linked somehow through this vast internet would be the best bet for all members weither in the east or the west cilrah38683.0316550926
