Gentlemen, with all the distance involved not just for me but for all  who will venture on this long haul and I hope there will be many. What ever I can do to make it fun, safe and something to tell are grand kids thats my goal. This will be the best, you guys that live stateside and pack up the vette every weekend and travel cement highways to anywhere, you are lucky, now I will take part and plan to enjoy and I want others with me..So lets go..see you all soon. I need a group hug..Terry

Terry,  I wouldn't mind to drive with you anywhere.  Yes, even the dirt roads that ding and scratch our paint.

We will make this a great trek out west and back to the east.  Have map and lady with vette.  What else do I need!!    Including all my freinds here.

Terry it is looking good as far as miles goes I think that I will be second only after you for distance traveled 800 miles before I meet up you fellows. The nice thing about it is that I will be spending the 2 weeks booked off for this trip with the second baby my Daughter. Awesome can't wait. Have the car booked for a few upgrades in March but will be ready for the big drive.

Now that we have it narrowed down to the month of August, we need to select the exact dates.
Someone (Adam) needs to start another thread so we can find out what is going on in Pigeon Forge in August, where we can stay and what we want to do.

Please don't pick August 24-27. That is Corvettes at Carlisle.

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

As of 1:00 AM CST (sorry - I couldn't stay awake for another hour) the tally was August 35 and June 33 and those numbers didn't change between then and now so it looks like August is the month.  From what I've read about Pigeon Forge in August I hope everyone's A/C is working...!!!

Enjoy...!!!

I have to be honest with you guys, and perhaps I should have mentioned this before...there is no way this event can happen the first two weekends in June.  The first weekend contains my wedding anniversary and if I'm not home for that, I may as well never come home.  The 2nd weekend is the weekend I host Corvettes for a Cure.

Adam: Where is the Corvette's for a Cure being held in 2006.  I am trying to plan my Vette events for the year.

You all enjoy your cruise across country.  Looks like I'll be taking my truck to Vegas for "Mopars on the Strip" in March instead.  Theres no way I can make the trip in August.

I voted for the West Coast, and I voted for June, I guess this makes me the biggest looser

Mark, I would not look at it like that?..It's just not your time yet..When it is your time and the Meet is on your side, it will be just as exciting, no more exciting because you will be there..and so will I..Keep the faith..Terry

There are no looser's here, only Corvette owners who can't make it this time..
