Welcome to the registry. I'm from Socal. Where on the coast are you moving to? Most of the members are in the east and midwest (now don't jump all over me). Go up to the members menu above and pick Real Time Member Map, and you can see where we all live. If you mean why haven't there been posts since 2010 in the south west region events page, its because there ain't been none.

My sister used to live in Sunnyvale, CA. Now she is in Manteca, CA.
I was just there, then went to Carson, CA and San Diego to visit my nephews.
Sorry I missed you.
