George Barris/Culver City Car Show

Looked at the accident today in new light, Front corner of pass. side
gone, stress
cracks all the way up the the hood, and the tire must have hit the curb as
the rim seems slightly bent. All that and
I can't get on the Culver City site either to see the show I missed!!!

OUCH!!!      

Tried driving it, Steering's shot, so much play it feels like a boat on the
high seas...
I'll be down and out for awhile.

So sorry that you couldn't make the car show, but glad that nobody was hurt in your mishap. And you just got that beauty out of the shop!

It would have been nice had you made the show. There weren't many corvettes, and only one other C3 (also a '71) besides mine. Will post pix soon.

Hope you get that green monster fixed soon; would like to see you at the Cruzin' for a Cure.

Thanks Sportivo, am sick over this - but like you said, nobody was hurt.
The insurance company will send the appraiser out in 3 days, I hope that
part goes smoothly then off to J&D and I'll be good as new for the
September show.
Looking forward to pix from the car show, I heard it was a light turn out
this year with a converted Airforce helicopter (into an RV!!) being the star
of the show.
