1984 Corvette Coupe L83
700R4
350 Crossfire V8 - 205 horsepower (Stock)
Juicey Details:
This car came to me red, its now had extensive body mods, the rubstrip has been deleted, it has custom themed artwork, 19" rims. A full stainless system, hypertech chip, 1000Watt audio with tv in dash, 2 6x9's and a 12" sub in a custom shelf and a seperate electrical system for the audio with solar pannel to top up the charge
Story:
I actually just went out for a drive in my daily driver - just over 10 years ago now. I passed an american dealer ship ( very few of these exist here in the UK) and he had a number of cars in - on being my vette. I took it out for a test drive and it was like nothing on offer here and was a real head turner simply from the noise let alone the looks. I was sold and put a deposit down there and then. The rest is history. I've had the car since december 1999, it originally left the factory bronze on bronze. But was red when I bought it. For a number of years I could only just afford to keep it running , and for a time it spent 12 months off the road layed up in my garage. However with a change of job came more money and the fun could start. Future plans will include and engine overhaul and upgrade and also a rebuild on the trans.
I've actually managed to track some of this cars history too. It was built on Oct 31st ( Halloween) and shipped to Texas, where it had 2 owners before coming to the UK as a personal import by a US serviceman. I have tried, and am still trying to track him down as I think he may like to see what I've made of his old Vette :)

As the Weather in the UK is now not really conducive to working on or driving the vette - I've moved to decorating the garage instead ;)

Just makes it match the car a bit better :)
Phil.
