Collector Edition LT4

I'd never purchased a car on Ebay before. I was surfing looking for something to replace the Jeep my daughter totalled when I decided to look at Corvette's. Always wanted one so what the heck. What I found was a 96 Collector Edition in Miami. I didn't even know what the LT4 was. Anyway, there was an hour left on the auction and I put in $10K as a max bid while my better half was enjoying a Margarita on the deck. I won the car for $9700! Come to find out that the dealer made some sort of mistake with the reserve. He asked nicely if I would back out of the deal. My response was.....see you friday to pick it up! So my wife(she forgave me) and I flew to Miami and drove it home to Upstate New York. Not a bad first Corvette experience. Not bad at all!

The LT4 in '96 was the pinnacle of the LTX engines---it was underated at 330 HP IMO-- because it was capable of making power and pulling hard well past 6K rpm.   I'm envious of you ---sounds like a great find and a great deal !  Enjoy your "new" toy !
