I just bought a 85 vette.  I need to get it appraised so I can get Agreed Value Policy.

when i got my 75 i looked at what others were selling for and the condition of my car. if you go to some of the insurance co online they sometimes have an online appraisal service. it will give you the highs and lows. i took a midway point and had no problem with the appraised value. might want to try this way unless you really have a "showpiece". just a suggestion.

Vette(s): 1978 Silver anniversary edition.
I took mine to a local (fortunate for me) Corvette Performance store that did written insurance appraisals. To my great fortune the owner is an NCRS member and Judge. Also try the Yellow pages in your area, I know the do have  independant appraisors for homes etc...maybe classic cars as well? Just a couple more suggestions...good luck!

Vette(s): 1987 C4 Unrestored with 14,000 miles as of 2010, Two-Tone #59V Silver Beige and #69L Medium Brown Metallic - museum quality. Originally special order built for a GM Chief Engineer - stored for 22 years.
Grundy is one of the few insurers that write agreed value for that year, really question your insurance agent on that, they don't all exactly tell you until it's too late. Get it in writing. Get a qualified appraiser and make sure you check on their full qualifications...make sure they back their appraisal with a money back guarantee to be accepted by insurance companies. My appraisal really paid off for me as far as my policy goes on my 87. I haven't had to use it, but it's a good feeling knowing the car is fully backed for what's it's truly worth< ="-" ="text/; =utf-8">< name="ProgId" ="Word.">< name="Generator" ="Microsoft Word 12">< name="Originator" ="Microsoft Word 12">
