My wife and I are retired. This is our 3rd corvette. In 2003 (Corvette's 50th Anniversary) I was looking for an ARTIC WHITE with TORCH RED Interior. We found this car in Illinois with only 11,800 miles on it. The car had been driven 600 miles in 5 years. In 1996 there was ONLY 110 LT1 convertibles built with this color combination.
It is used mainly for shows, BUT it is NEVER trailered. The car is mostly stock, with the exception of the engine dressup items, C6 replica wheels and Magaflow polished stainless exhaust system.
Since 2003 it has won 90 awards (all 1st place except for 1) in corvette shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas, including 3 Best of Show awards.

Somebody has been out with the detailing stuff. Looks nice but I don't know how you could win that many times. I keep getting my ass kicked by mid-years. Can't win with judges or the popular vote, even when the competition is only half as nice. Can't fight nostalgia! People want American Graffiti (or thereabouts), what are you going to do? At least C5's and C6's don't do any better!
