I located and purchased this very nice 1996 Collector Edition Corvette in July 2011, forty-eight years after owning my first Corvette. I earned every penny to buy a 1961  270hp 4-speed Vette in 1963 when I was 20 years old. I failed to check the insurance cost and was faced with the decision of staying in school, or working full time to pay for the insurance. I stayed in school and traded down to a new 1963 Corvair Monza.

During the summer of 2011, I realized C4 Corvettes were comfortably in my price range, so I and began looking. I located this one in Crown Point, IN and bought it. It is original except for tires and battery, and has been very well cared for. It is an LT1/automatic with two roof panels and 43k miles. My wife and I joined a local Corvette club and also joined the National Corvette Museum. We love going for rides on nice days, and I have checked this off my bucket list. Jim

Vette(s): Beautiful Original Condition 1987 C4 Convertible, Bright Red exterior, Red interior, 4+3 Doug Nash Manual transmission, with 62K miles. Garage housed and dry roads driven. Fun to cruise along in, but always ready to go!
Congratulations Jim!!

Welcome back to the Corvette world!

I too, recently got a Corvette for some fun retirement cruising with my best girl of 42 years!

You can see it at 1987 SharkTail.

Best regards,
Dan
