I've had about 30 cars, but always wanted a Vette. What a treat to find a nice, lightly used 3 owner convertible with only 19,761 original miles on it. Turns out that the last owner had it for 9 years, drove it once a month, and only put on 2,500 miles during that entire time.
Love the polo green with beige leather. Car is in amazing shape, but was practically a barn find. The car had been kept in a car port, not a garage. It hadn't been washed for months, the ad was poorly written and many people overlooked it.
When the Corvette mechanic checked it out, he said that if I didn't buy it, he would. That's all it took. For a 15 year old car, everything was original except the rear tires (wonder why?). All the belts, hoses, front tires, etc. were original and untouched. I had all the fluids changed, along with the belts and hoses, and the paint came back to life amazingly well.
There was one problem with the original exhaust system, however. Too quiet. A new MagnaFlow cat back exhaust solved that problem. My next door neighbor actually came over to tell me how much he likes the new sound.
In summary, it's not all bad when the kids move out and you can still enjoy life!

Thanks for everyone's warm welcome to the C4 Vette Registry. The more I experience owning my first Vette, the more I love it!

I too am new to the ownership of a vette, but up here in my part of the world it might be a couple of months before I really get a good chance to enjoy it. I know just what you mean by saying goodbye to the kids; and hello to a life long dream.
A low millage car is always nice, unless the millage was put on one 1/4 mile at a time.......... LOL !
Enjoy your new ride.

Same interior color as mine. Looks good with that green too.
The exhaust opens a whole other topic. Most people are either Borla or Corsica. Frankly, Borla is too loud for my tastes. You can always tell when they finish a Borla at Carlisle, they make sure everyone on the grounds hears it too! I really like my Corsa and since there are no restrictions in the piping what-so-ever (sound wave inverting only), it's as efficient as a straight pipe. I don't know anybody who's put on Magnaflow. Be interesting to see how you compare to the others. You may like the rumble but it could get on the "passenger's nerves" on any kind of a trip. Let us know.

Hiya John,
Nice find. Polo green is my choice too, mine is a 90 model and also my first, well at least my first while I was still awake.....

Very nice Vette. The seats look brand new, love the green and saddle combination. Don't see many like them on the road.
I just lost an Admiral Blue w/gray interior 94 coupe, which was also a nice and rare combination to a disagreement with a pick up truck. Guess who won!
Many happy miles to you!

Here's to Green verts!

I have black wheels to match my black top (but I try to never have the top up!!)
Congrats on finding such a nice one with such low mileage! Mine's pushing 150K.
