Vette(s): 1975 Corvette T-Top, 1985 Corvette Z51 Coupe, 1987 Corvette Convertible

I had a beautiful 1987 Corvette Convertible that was all restored and looking "all-so-fine" when a real jerk made a quick right turn from the far left lane right in front of me. Short story:
him having no insurance and no money left me holding the bag in one hand and a totaled wreck in the other. I sold the wreck on eBay for chump change.
Luckily I did find a 1985 sitting in a field looking like a pile of nothing and paid said farmer pretty much what I got for the wreck.

Here is the pictures of my 1985 Corvette Z51 that I found in a farmers field pretty much stripped out,
stripped off,
sun baked and everything in the interior cracked , ripped, broken, or missing. Pretty much the same could be said for the engine compartment. Didn't find out it was a Z51 until after I got it home (on a trailer) This is a couple of pictures of the restoration "in progress" as I am working on it and using it to take me to and from the VA hospital (90 miles one way away) every week. I tear something apart, fix or replace it, put it back together and go to doctor, return home, and start fixing something else all over again. I will try to keep up with the updates as best i can as I go along. i have a bunch of "BEFORE" pics that I will try to get in and organize a slide show to show the project as it evolves into a BEAUTIFUL ONE-of-a KIND Z51
worthy to grace these pages and to win numerous accolades in the future!!

If anybody need any help with "how to" do most anything in a DIY'er way on one of these buggy's.....give me a holler and I'll try to help!!

You're a saint for bringing it back from the edge.
Good luck with the rest of the project...!!!

That's a cool story and looks like a heck of a job so far bringing it back from the dead.

Yep between "cash for clunkers" and people letting them sit and go to waste there are fewer and fewer C4s around. It's great to see someone bringing one back from the" dead" kudos to you
