You guys already know about my aversion to driving the car in the rain... we didn't go to the car show at TOP.
Besides, it didnt just rain it was raining
cats & dogs.

As far as Friday goes, I played hooky from work and we spent the day cruising around the Parkland/Spanaway area. Had the T-top off and spent the day visiting friends I haven't seen in a while.
Later in the day we went to a friends who has a 1966 Chrysler convertible. We drove from his house to Kelly's Cafe for their cruise-in and had a burger there. Then after checking out all the rides we drove the back way over to South Hill Puyallup for desert at the new Sonic.
It was insane! there were so many people trying to get a chance to use the drive through and the drive up/order stalls there was a minimum 1 hour wait in your vehicle. We were there for a couple hours and the stream of traffic never slowed.
Cars were being staged next door in an empty lot where there were at least 50 - 75 cars waiting for their turn.
A few hot rods showed up and joined us to talk cars and hand out in the parking lot.
I am bummed about missing the first night of the season at Norma's. Especially since my better half had friday night off, which is a rare occurance. But the season has just started and we'll be there as often as we can. We should try to get together and cruise the Vettes into Norma's all together. Then on another night we could do Kelly's Cafe & Sonic.
I should have taken more pics of the Sonic insanity but... but I just shot our two cars instead.
We were parked at the business next door since you couldn't even get close to the Sonic parking lot.
