Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who made the "fall salmon run" a great cruise.Clap
There wasnt one time I didnt look back and see 5 other C-3's driving the coast that I didnt smile.Big smile
I got to spend the day with my 16 year old daughter and she got to drive the 73 for the 1st time, TWICE!Confused
I got to spend the day with 10 other folks who are why I wanted to do something like that to start with. Have a great day with great people.
How cool is that? Petty cool if you ask me.
You all made it happen. It could have just been another lost thread that never went anywhere. But you came from north and south to make it happen.
So thanks to Bob, Aaron, Bill, Eddie and Craig, and your lovely brides for taking a small idea and making work out big time.

Thank you John for making the whole thing such a success. You did a fantastic job with the itinerary. It was well organized with the destinations and estimated arrival times all planned out.
That route should become a regular cruise for our Northwest C3VR members.

A cruise like that is our favorite thing to do with our car. That's one of the main reasons why I joined C3VR was to meet other C3 owners that want to cruise. Any day of the week we would rather cruise than anything else. The car shows are fun but they pale in comparison to driving around the countryside with a group of other Vettes. I will upload some pictures from the cruise later today. Thanks again for making it such a success, we had a great time.

Wow what a fun Corvette day that was! Having a Corvette is one thing but going on a drive with other Corvette owners is another thing all together. Thank you John for being the leader of the pack! It was great to see everyone and have fun!

Thanks John for putting this together. My wife and I had a great time, and it was great to meet all you fine Corvette people. Let me know whats next.  Fall Salmon Run? I was thinking it was more like T-Mans Excellent Adventure. Thumbs Up

Rafterman those are great pictures, Thanks!
I have to add that it was very cool when we all cruised through those small towns and people just had thier eyes wide open and a smile on thier faces. In Long Beach there was a much older woman driving an SUV with her hand out the window with her thumb up saying "COOL", that was great!

Wow Eddie, again thanks. Those ARE great shots.

So my next idea....
Next spring, early summer.
Its what I would call a "eco-cruise".
Leave Abredeen on Friday morn, cruise the coast up to the Hoh Rain Forest for lunch.
(Now the "eco" part.) Hike the 1 mile rain forest trail through the old growth. Its way cool.
Spend the night in Forks. Either cabins at 3 rivers, (rustic but cheap) or just a decent hotel in forks.
Next morning (sat) hike out to the ocean, about 1/2 mile, then cruise past Cresent lake, down towards the straits then end up in Port Townsend for Sat eve. Then Sunday back down hood canal and home.

It would mean 3 days and we also have the C3 meeting later on in the summer.
Does this sound like too much, is anyone interested or stick to day cruises with no hiking?

John this sounds like another great adventure. Pick a date and lets go. Only problem I see is getting my wife to stay in a rustic cabin.LOL How rustic are they? A three day trip with you guys would be Priceless.

We would be IN for the eco-cruise. But at the same time lets do the fall salmon run again soon. Maybe we could get cilrah and RADARB8 to join us for the next one.

Again ... THE CRUISES WITH OTHER C3VR MEMBERS IS WHY I JOINED IN THE FIRST PLACE. WE LOVE IT!!! WE ARE UP TO IT ALMOST ANY WEEKEND. LONG OR SHORT CRUISES!!

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
Question? Is there oxygen on the hikes? Could some one push or carry me (no dragging)? Do I have to bring my wife or can it be a, well you know?
LOL
I would need at least a week in advance for me to schedule that time off, that goes with any saturday cruise, as in my business I work almost every saturday.
