I'm in Washington State and am posting this for "local" members in the Northwest region.
Along with the car shows and cruises that are posted here maybe we could share info about local "Cruise-Ins".
Not a formal show or gathering but just local car guys & gals hanging out with their cars at local establishments.
In the Lacey/Olympia area -
Starting the first Friday in May through the last Friday of September there is a Cruise-In at Norma's Burger each Friday beginning around 5:30pm til dark.
Norma's is located on Martin Way across from Tanglewild Shopping Center.
From Exit 111 (Marvin Rd), head West on Martin Way for 1 mile and its on your right.
Look for the giant plastic burger on the roof and American flag by the entrance.
The address is 7210 Martin Way E Olympia, WA 98516.
(360) 456-6547
Hopefully we'll see you there on some Friday night.
I usually always pop in for at least a few minutes since I'm just a couple miles down the road.
Cilrah and I met there on several occasions last summer and there were always some really nice rides.
Another one in the Parkland/Spanaway area is Kelly's Cafe on Pacific Ave. The address there is 16302 Pacific Ave S
Spanaway, WA 98387(253) 548-8265
Spanaway, WA 98387

I think the main theme of the post was "Local" ...I posted this under the "Northwest Region" for folks who are in the Washington area. But we should start a separate thread for "Cruise-Ins" for each region.
Regards,
Rafterman

I'll have to see if I can take a Friday night off work and drive up for this one some time this Summer. I'll be checking out for local shows. I know PIR (Portland International Raceway) has the Wednesday night Cruise-Ins all summer and it has a very large turn out.

Every Monday during the summer there is a criuse-in at the Front Street Riverfront. 6 blocks or so from my house. Usually a hundred or more cars on display. Any car could be there, but usually 70s on back to 30s. Very nice. Very friendly.

With Kind Regards,

I liked the idea. I know you are Northwest and posted for that. But I guess we were just joining in to the concept, not noting the post was in Northwest. I just saw it on the main paige, without noting the catagory. Sorry about that.

No apology necessary, I'm happy to have gotten the responses regardless of where your at. I should have been more specific about the post. So I'm the knucklehead that should apologise.

We are all part of the same community here and I never want to exclude anybody. We should get a thread started in each of the different regions so we can all share our "local cruise-in" info. What I like about the cruise-ins is that their usually weekly events and you can show up whenever you want. Their typically at a small cafe or burger stand and its fun to go there for a burger and some good company.

That would be impressive to see. So far from what I've seen, the cruise-ins around here are nowhere near that big.
