Ah ... they can be a blast. At least the Poker Rallyes can be. The Gimmick Rallyes give me fits. In those, all you get at the driver's meeting is a set of "clues" to get you t othe end. In this case "shortest time" is the winner. But, depending on who sets it up, the clues can be a "pain in the a**" - like look in your rearview mirroe to see a road sign on the opposite side of the road. Guess that separates the "great" rallye teams from the merely "good" rallye teams.

If I can fit it in, I'd like go to your PA rallye in September. Maybe IRON82 and I can carvan up there. Keep us posted on the deatils.

Mike,

It's only about 100 miles from my place. Should be an easy run up there. Hopefully, it'll be when I have an opening on my schedule. Should be fun.

The LAST poker run I was on was held my Mason Dixon Corvette club...
which means it drew memberships from both above and below the Mason Dixon Line....

Anyway I got completely lost after I picked up 2 cards...and finally had
to find a phone booth (long before Cell Phones were popular)...and Call
in to GIVE UP and also get directions to the Party that follows ...

Long Story Short... The CALL WAS LONG DISTANCE... man was I lost...

Next week I found out I was only 5 miles away fromt he party...BUT
the call was long Distance because it was across state lines...GHEESE!

Micki,
In Texas, you should have a Texas Hold-em rally.
