Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
Who's going?????
I will be there!

2016 Z06 C7R Edition
Skyline Drive Corvettes. . Reading, PA had about 20 Corvettes down in OC for the weekend. We always have fun there. Enjoyed doing the Boardwalk Parade and I won 1st Place in the Judged Show 1978-1982 with the '78 Vette!

Anyone have a final count on the number of Corvettes that wnet down the "boards" .. My estimate is close to 500 at least...80 percent were c5's...
Anyway I do intend to fire off a long letter BITCHING about the parking at the convention center to the Free State Corvette Club (the club that runs this event)..
I mean the unused parking spaces visible on the main lot away from the convention center and NOT on the lot whenr the show was set up numbered at least a couple of hundred
Yet for the general public or any Non registered Corvette
owners it was closed... parking only on the street...if you could find a space.....and honestly more then a few people I talked to just went away ..and went away MAD...
Still had a great time...what else could I have when our club had about 40 people down at the ocean for a party weekend... and we did Party
Rain?...who cares...

I went with the Corvete Annapolis group and DID DO the boardwalk thing. Looonng time to "feather the clutch" - but it was fun. I heard from the Freestate gang that 735 'vettes went down the boardwalk - a new record. And there were several hundred more wandering about the streeets. Also heard that they've "outgrown" the Convention Center parking lot - probably because they only let us use about half of it.

Just got the dates (and I am a little bummed out) for thie OC weekend in 2005....
October 14 the 15th 2005.....
Starts getting a little "cool" the end of September and the Middle of October just may be a little tooooo cool...
The wife an I always go down for the entire week and get a room right on the boardwalk so we can sit outside and enjoy the people walking by and have a ringside seat for the Parade... BUT Honestly I just may have to drive donw early Saturday morning by myself this ear...

If it is too cool by the ocean why not come over to C3X instead? (It's the same weekend!) Hopefully it will be warmer in BG this year than it was last October.

We know what you mean Bob, ... we try to make it each year (would be first with the vette), that wind off the ocean can get cold, and we have been rained out too...
It's a nice trip from Hampton Va area. we considered BG, but that is a long haul (700 +) for us.Still haven't decided yet...

Lol Crusin... I hear ya....
Took the 72 to BG as part of the National Caravan in 1999
within a week after returning home My wife gave me orders to buy a more comfortable "Travel Corvette"... so I picked up my 95 Black on Black 6 sp... She also discovered that
Hot Tubs do wonders to cure her sore rear end every night at the Hotel......She had a Hot Tub in my back yard 3 days after we returned...
Not a bad "deal" driving a C3 around the country...not many of us "get ordered" to by a newer Corvette and of course I sure did not feel guilty since she had purchased a Hot Tub...
BTW...The "official" Ocean City Calander still lists the OC weekend as Oct 1st and 2nd 2005...BUT The Host Clubs (Freestate) web site shows Oct 14 or 15th..
Really do hope they keep the earlier date...
