As available hotel rooms are impossible to find in Carlisle during Corvettes at Carlisle 2002, I am considering booking a group of rooms at a hotel in Harrisburg, which is about a 30 minute drive to Carlisle.

If I did that, I could probably get a rate of $45-50 per night.

Would any of you be interested in getting one of these rooms if I booked them?

Adam we stay at the Fairfield Inn at the first Harrisburg exit east of Carlisle about 90 bucks a night and I believe they are booked. There is a Days Inn, Holiday and a Macintosh at that exit. Chuck.

Don't know what you can get for $45. Doubt I would want to stay in such a place, let alone park a Corvette outside!

Either a Super 8 or TravelLodge.

Adam, I was just going to ask anyone about hotel res. down there when I saw your post.
I would like to find a place as close to carlisle as posslible. Me and the misses are planning on comming down for the weekend (minus the vett) and hope to find some alluminum rims. Let me know about rooms if you find a place. It would be nice to get to meet all of you. |wavey| It would really be great to see everybody at a C3VR Tent .

If you go to www.bigyellow.com you will see some mom & pop motels that do not show up on the internet. I noticed some last year and they looked very nice from the outside. Might be worth a try.

Kathy, that's only about 1/2 hour away, not too bad for this late date. Of course, that is a 1/2 hour on a normal day, god only knows what it will be like with the traffic. Good luck |cheers|
