Bummer!  I think I've got a previous engagement

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Shame it's the same weekend as the gathering - I would have loved to see their place.  Gotten several things from them & their knowledge & assistance has been invaluable.
