Jeff, my wife are interested in meeting you and everyone up there, unfortunately we won't be driving my corvette because it isn'nt road worthy. But it willstill be alot of fun getting to meet everyone there and to finally put a face to names we see on all the diffrent posts. Thanks JJoyal

Jeff, I'll put you down for now in good faith. If you can make it, Great, if not I'll see you at Carlisle in August. And don't forget, another ride if you come up in Sept.

Jean, Glad to have you and your wife along even if the Vette can't make the trip. We're all here with a common interest and thats what makes it fun. Looks like you you got a nice one- '68 BB vert.
Thanks, Jeff

My wife (Dorothy) is seriously considering this trip.
Our younger son, Jeff, lives in Pawtucket, RI, so we would visit him, then head north. Might be able to caravan with someone (JJoyal, gsfowler?).

3/15/08 Time to get things moving on the New Hampshire cruise.
We took a ride over to North Conway last Sunday to check out lodging. We would need to book rooms SOON to get them all together with parking at your door. Bike Week in Laconia runs into the same weekend this year and they book rooms up into the White Mountains. Some places are already full and or would not do one night.
Proposed Agenda- (Open to ideas and suggestions)
Sat. AM- Meet in Lincoln, NH for breakfast or just coffee depending on time. (Lincoln is just off I-93 so it should be the best starting point for everyone coming from the south or west.)
From Lincoln we could cruise north on Rt. 3 up through Franconia Notch past Cannon Mt. and NE to Twin Mountain. Maybe find a lunch join in this area.
From Twin Mt. pick up Rt.302 east and head down through Crawford Notch. 302 will bring us down into North Conway which would be a good place to spend Sat. night.
North Conway has lot of shops, outlets and plenty of eateries. Also the Conway Scenic RR, but that would require some time. If anyone is interested in a hill climb I could check out Hurricane Mt Rd after it reopens. (80-82 Vettes would most likely bottom out with the lower front bumpers).
Sun. AM- After breakfast head south to Conway and take Rt. 112, the Kancamagus Highway (very scenic), back to Lincoln.
Their are lots of scenic overlooks along this entire loop. Also, tourist attractions. Most of them would require a fair amount of time.
If anyone would want to arrive on Friday night we could do something for lodging in Lincoln also.
This is the link for the motel in North Conway that I though would work best. All their rooms are non smoking, I hope that's OK? The rate is $89.00. They didn't seem willing to discount for a group, but looked to be the nicest for the money.
Let me know who is still interested and also anyone else that might like to go so I can have them block off enough rooms before we all start calling in reservations.
Also, I think I forgot to ask this one about cancellation but it should be ok to cancel a few days before arrival if weather looks like a wash out or whatever. I will find out.
Hopefully we can get a good group together. It should be a blast cruising the White Mountains.
Thanks, Jeff
