Computer is misbehaving tonite
Just lost my last post.
Quick intro> Name is Wal i live on the mid north coast of NSW Aus
About 6 months ago I was lucky enough fo find a 1979 T top 350 auto for sale.need s bit (LOT) of work but i can do alot of it myself although i am no Vette expert.
I has been converted to RHD..I have almost finished the brakes (how much fun is the hand brake repair
)
Perhaps someone may be able to help me identify the heads which are not original..On them they have M/T performance,I havn"t been able to find anyone here who can help.
Kind regards to all

Wal,
Welcome to C3VR...!!!
You're driving season is just beginning
as ours is ending
(at least in the northern tier of states).
I feel your pain on the rear brake rebuild as I just finished that project a month ago. But it is nice to have the parking brakes working again!
A guess on the heads - if they came from the States the "M/T Performance" could mean Mickey Thompson Performance.

Hi Jim O
Thanks for the reply and the info on the heads.I found a Michey Thompson web site and it seems it may be a bolt on worked head.
Like to know what was done to it tho.
The car has never been on the road here so any work done on it was done in the USA..It runs really well, so i gues i shouldnt complain
Yep its summer here next month and i hope we can the vette ready to enjoy some of it.
As i am a novice I figure one stupid question is ok |
What? is C3 I mean what does it mean...I know it must refer to a certain range of vetts but its only a guess
Thanks again
Regards
Wal

Hi Wal,
C3 refers to the design generation of the corvette. There have been 5 so far, and I believe the 6th is scheduled to debut in 2005. Here's a link that I ran across that has lots of great terminoligy info. for the newbie vette owner. http://vintagecars.about.com/library/weekly/aa021101a.htm?terms=corvette
Good luck and enjoy.

Hi all, I've just registered on this great site and am looking forward to picking my 71 Coupe I've just bought. Driving season?? I live in Alice Springs so we only get a couple of days a year when it rains, so it's always driving season. Oh, one other thing that's nice.... no speed limits on the open road!!!
