** Regional Event Coordinators Needed!

I would like to have event coordinators for 11 regions of the US.

Each coordinator would have the following responsibilities:
1) Be responsible for updating the Event Calendar for their region.
2) Post messages in the Events Forum regarding event news for their region.
3) Send out weekly emails to other C3VR Members in their region.

If you live in a state of one of the regions, and would like to be the coordinator for that region, please reply to this post!

Question: What would be the easiest way to get a list of member e-mail addresses for doing the weekly broadcast? I'm assuming that it would need to be filtered to not include the folks who have requested not to receive e-mail notifications of events.

If this isn't a "forever" assignment I'll take a crack at the North Central region to start it out.

Jim... I will create a way for the Event Coordinators to send out emails from the C3VR site.

I am still looking for Event Coordinators for the following regions...

*Mid Central
*North East
*South Atlantic

Please email me, or reply to this post ASAP if you are interested in being a coordinator for one of these regions!

Here is what would be required of you:

* Every Friday (or Saturday at the latest) you would need to go to a special page on the C3 Vette Registry site that will show you a list of events (if any) for your region for the upcoming week (Friday - Thursday). If there are any events listed, you would just click a button to automatically send out emails to all the C3VR Members in your region.

* You need to make sure that events listed in the Vette Events section of the site for your region are correct and if any events are scheduled in your region that are not on the calendar, you need to send an email to Events@VetteRegistry.netaware of it.

That's it...pretty simple. Would cost you about 10 minutes per week.

Hey Chief,

If the list of events comes back empty, could a line like "There are no events for the coming week currently listed in the Events Calendar for the XYZ Region." be dropped in there? That way the coordinator would know that a query did run and no events were found for the time period.
