Corvette Funfest 2013 intel?

Hello all,

Corvette Funfest 2013 begins in a few days at Mid America Motorworks.  I have never been and was hoping that those of you who have would share your thoughts on the event.  Obviously, fun is subjective but I would appreciate any insight you may have. things not to miss?  Places to stay?

I would only be able to attend Saturday and Sunday, missing the first two days.  Is it worth a five and a half hour drive each way and a night in a hotel?
