"Gold on the Green" is this year's theme. June 24-27 are the dates for one of the country's largest Corvette shows, right here in my hometown of St. Charles, Illinois! There are LOTS of Corvettes to see, vendors, seminars, swap meet, judging, road tour, and of course the Mecum auction! There is also a Callaway Corvette reunion. All the info is right here:

I sure hope any of you that are going plan on looking me up while you're in town! Lots of things to do around here, there are many nice taverns and restaurants. If there is any interest, I could be persuaded to have a little cookout here?

This year's Bloomington Gold event will have a cruise in activity at the "Relay for Life" which is a fund raising event for the American Cancer Society. Because I am a Cancer survivor and participated in the relay event last year, this has very special meaning to me.
I had a nice chat with Cathy Storm who helps organize and run the Bloomington Gold event and she is already working on ways the event can help raise some money for the Society. Cathy is looking for ideas to help this cause, if any of you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them up here and I will certainly be happy to forward them on to her.
