Hey Gang!
The 3rd National Corvette Caravan (NCC) is heading for Bowling Green for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Corvette at the National Corvette Museum. The NCC home site has all the national details, but I thought having hot links to the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa regional caravan sites would make it easier to get at the info.
The Minnesota and Wisconsin caravans are joining up mid-day on Wednesday, June 25th, in Wisconsin Dells and will head for Bloomington, IL (with a pit stop in Beloit, WI) to spend the night. The Iowa caravan will join up in Bloomington, IL that same evening. The Illinois caravan will join up in Indianapolis on Thursday morning, June 26th.
Then on Thursday morning, June 26th, all four states are hooking up with the Indiana caravan (and potentially others) in Indianapolis for a lap around "The Brickyard" before heading for Bowlnig Green. This sounds like something to definitely NOT miss!
If you're planning on going to B.G. for "The Big Bash" start looking for accomodations 6 months ago - rooms are in VERY short supply already (as evidenced by our own C3VR caravan being cancelled).
After completing the 50th CARAVAN REGISTRATION form contact the regional coordinators for lodging information particulars for the overnight stops (they may also have some info on lodging in B.G. if you're lucky!). From what I can tell so far you're on your own for finding lodging on your return trip home.
