Anyone going to the Joliet Corvette show this Sunday (March 7)? I was there last year, nice show. Trying to remember the name of the Chevy dealer that hosted it, Bill Jacobs Chevy?

It's Bill Jacobs on Rt.30. I'll be there but only as a looker. Mike

I managed to get to the show, snagged a great deal on a used (original) driver's side mirror, like new for 25 bucks! There were some great looking cars there and some very good deals on parts. Very friendly crowd, I'm sure I will go back next year, I think it's always the first Sunday in March.

Turnarr, I did see you at the show. Wasn't that you with the engine in the pickup truck? Maybe the truck was silver? You were not too far away from the fellow trying to sell the 71 'vert basket case. I saw him at the fall Vettefest, he didn't have much luck selling it there either.

No that guy had a ls1 for sale.. my spot was in the walkway not too far from that guy with the pick up and engine. My engine was not there but I had a poster displayed describing it and I did have my th-350 in a box for sale.

The 71 certainly was amazing. There was nothing left of the seats except for the frames and springs. I don't think anything in the interior was salvageable. I wouldn't mind tackling that project but not at his asking price of 3500. I was tempted to offer him 200 but I just didn't want to insult him. I don't think I will be going to Vettefest, was there in the fall and it was a great show, but I'm still trying to get this kitchen done before the warm weather comes.
