If you noticed in the past few Mid America Motorworks catalogs you've seen they listed "C3 Fest" for 2012. (I think the dates were the same as our Charleston gathering).

When I first saw that, I contacted Deb there and reminded her that our official gathering for 2012 would not be at C3 Fest.

As I suspected, they have cancelled the event.  As per an email I just received from a rep: "As it turns out, we are exploring some different event options this year and are not hosting this event in 2012."

So, if you were planning to attend C3 Fest in 2012, you now can not.  So, come to Charleston instead!

At least now there's no problem over which one to choose! Although the C3 Fest last year was AWESOME!

I made it abundantly clear to them when we first starting talking about us coming there for our annual gathering in 2011, that we would not be returning for our annual gathering in 2012. I was surprised to see them call it "1st Annual" and reminded them at that time about us not returning in 2012.  I was told that they knew and weren't counting on us to return.

Although, I have to say I'm not surprised they nixed it.  While they did have what I was told was a very good turn out for C3 Fest 2011, 95% or more were C3VR folk.

They know we were all incredibly pleased with C3 Fest and were really happy they hosted an event for us. It will be interesting to see what the group decides in 2014, but it will likely be tempting to return to Effingham.

I got the official memo from Mike ... the ROOK was not disbarred from future festivities ... only a reprimand and a note in his permanent file ... as long as he promises to not go swimming in the private pool shaped like a bowtie - he will be fine !!!
