Thank you, everybody. My wife Lesa and I had bookmarked C3VR a few months ago, and have been on the forums to look up technical issues, but it wasn't until meeting Frank & Barb at a cruise night last weekend that we decided to register.
We look forward to joining the fun and chaos of C3 ownership.
We purchased our first Vette from my uncle last September. He put a lot of love into the car and got a lot out of it before he parked it 10 years ago. We were catching up at a wedding in July when Lesa and I mentioned that we were interested in picking up a two-seater convertible with no practical value that would be fun to drive and would keep my hands busy on the weekends. He offered his '80 and the deal was done a few weeks later.
Since then we have rebuilt the front calipers, the rear parking brakes, and the carburetor. And, we replaced the radiator and got the temperature sending unit working. For our next trick we'll be replacing the rubber fuel hoses. Then the rear differential needs to be rebuilt, and something at the back of the engine is leaking oil. I guess we got what we asked for!

1980 with the heart of a '73, because more horsepower is always better.

You'll enjoy the group. Lots to learn from all the top notch people who offer expert advice. KUDOS to Barb -n- Frank for mentoring you into the fold.
