A 76 Vette , with 165 original miles, sold for $35,000.00. That's the most I have seen a base coupe go for.

I was watching that sale too, Scott. I was surprised at $35,000 also, especially after they didn't have much nice to say about the mid-seventies Vettes. I was also was surprised at the factory defects they pointed out . Some were pretty noticeable.

Thats reruns of last year. I wonder about that mileage, did you notice all the soot on the hood insulation, 165 miles would not have done that.

I noticed the hood pad also and was wondering the same thing.
I did not realize this was a rerun of last year.

Vette(s): Previous: 1984 Coupe, 1988 Maroon Coupe, 1989 Coupe, 2001 Roadster Present: 1967 Stingray Roadster, 1976 Stingray Coupe, 1989 Roadster..
Oh yeah the 1976 is going to be one of the most sought after Covettes in the future. It is because of the smokin high performance engine features. Or maybe because it was such a low production number build year.
NOT...........
Me thinks the feller had a personal reason for the love affair...

Ummm, maybe that year resembled their own personal love boat....
Who knows? One thing fer sure....they are now Happy Vette Owners.....
Hope they find C3VR Registry on the net...

I know the buyer has to pay a 10% premium to Barrett Jackson. Does anyone know what the seller pays to run the car through the block. THe happiest guys should be Craig Jackson.

O
Last year I believe it was 8% and then if you wanted a primo spot say, Friday night, Sat evening or Sunday, you payed an additional premium.
Our local vette mechanic is sending 3 or 4 cars, one at least C-1 thru this year. I'll ask him what the premium was this year.
